Lowhouses Black Magic, the 10 y.o. stallion owned by Mrs Julie Pennell, went to the Royal Highland Show at Edinburgh in July and was champion M&M and Reserve Supreme of the Show.
Lowhouses Rebel (Lummas Prince/Lowhouses Anna), a 10 y.o. gelding owned by Mr RIchard Pennell has had a great ridden season. He was 8th out of 40 at the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead and qualified for H.O.Y.S (at Birimingham) by winning at Cheshire County Show. He did a brilliant display at Birmingham finishing 5th in the final.
Rebel's full brother Lowhouses Monarch, based in Bedfordshire, was 2nd in the HOYS qualifier at Kent County Show and 4th in the Olympia qualifier at Kent County Show - hopefully he'll get there next year!
Lowhouses Bright Star (Slateyford Diamond/Lowhouses Jessica), the 5 y.o. in Cornwall, has also had a brilliant season, he was reserve supreme at the Cornwall Native Pony Show, Dales champion at the Royal Cornwall Show and M&M Champion at Penzance Show.
Lowhouses Jemima (Slateyford Diamond/Lowhouses Anna) has had her first year doing riddens and won her class at Weardale Show
We have had two foals born this year - a colt, Jonjo, out of Rebecca, and a filly, Monica, out of Lowhouses Ebony. They are both by our young stallion, Tarbarl Gypsy Lad, and are smart foals. Hopefully we will have 3 foals next year.
We have had a good year on the sales front, with two colts and three geldings going to pastures new. At the beginning of May, Lowhouses Comet, a yearling colt out of Ebony, went to Kendal and hopefully will be kept entire. In August two year geldings, Dylan and Matt, went to Peterborough and at the end of October, Jonjo the colt foal, is going to Norfolk and the 2 y.o. gelding, Danny boy, out of Rebecca is just going 12 miles away.
